Fortune XL

$429.00

The Fortune lamp gets its name because of the sturdy bamboo legs as bamboo is a sign of good luck in many Asian cultures.

Featuring real cocoa leaves and a simple square design, this lamp is a true show piece and conversation starter.

Features fossilized cocoa leaves that are handplaced on a standard UL lamp backing and then laminated, creating each of the four sides of the lamp.

The panels are hand stitched onto a powder coated, wrought iron frame to form a square design.

The body of the lamp is fastened to and supported by four bamboo poles.

Dimensions: 11 L x 11 W x 72 H

Description

Number of Bulbs: 4
Eangee recommends light bulbs based on heat, not by light output.

We recommend using either compact florescent light (CFL) bulbs or LED bulbs. These will provide the same amount of light but use less wattage and produce less heat as compared to a standard incandescent bulb. The lower heat will help ensure the longivity of the lamp .

If you use an incandescent bulb, we suggest a maximum of 40 watts.

If cleaning is required for Eangee lamps, we recommend using a dry cloth or duster. We do not suggest liquid cleaners.
We do not recommend placing your lamp in direct sunlight for extended periods of time.

Bulb Access

1. Lean the lamp forward to reach the top bulb and the one underneath

2. Lay the lamp on its side and tilt it up for a comfortable reach.

3. Insert the last two bulbs, with the third socket first.

History

Eangee Home Design first opened its doors as a retail storefront in November 2003. The inspiration came when one of the owners discovered the Gecko lamp while vacationing in the Philippines. After striking up a conversation with the creator of the lamp, he returned to the US and opened a small store with the other partners.

We quickly realized our potential as a distributor and shifted our company’s focus in 2007. Within a year, we sold the retail business and began operating solely as a wholesale distributer. Starting in retail laid the foundation of how we handle customer service and work with our retail partners. We understand the needs of retailers and the wants of consumers.

While we have grown, we have remained true to our core values. We want to provide products made from sustainable, natural material while supporting the people that create them.

Lighting

The foundation of the company has been our lamps. Over the years, they have evolved to their current form which include vibrant colors and unique leaf types. We have developed a technique that offers brilliant colors, high quality finishes and great durability.

Accessories

Since our wholesale debut, we continuously searching for accessory items that complement our collection We have discovered a wide variety of materials including driftwood and various recycled metals that are transformed into works of art by the talented artisans we work with.

Furniture

In 2013, we launched our Furniture department with a few unique occasional tables. We have since expanded the line by introducing more tables, room dividers and other products that meet our sustainability requirements.
